Facebook OFFENDED by two men kissing.

Today my boyfriend logged onto his account and a message popped up stating that he needs to read Facebooks Terms for posting something that Violated the rules.

The content was removed and he was given a 3 day block for uploading such a VULGAR picture.

It showed the picture that he had posted that violated their "terms and conditions" and above the picture it states:

"We Removed the following content you posted or were admin of because it violates Facebook's Statement of Right's and Responsibilities!"

And here is the picture that was SO OFFENSIVE to Facebook and their users.

So it makes me wonder, is Facebook Homophobic? I doubt heterosexual kisses get deleted for being "OFFENSIVE"

What are you thoughts on this?

Be sure to Share this story so others are aware of this and they do not make the same mistake posting a picture of two men kissing!

  5. Facebook has changed so may things like if you want to make friends you can not do that either your only alowed to make friends with family only thats fine but trying to make friends with other people around the world and cant do that then why even have facebook why have anything its stupid so what if theres a picture of two meen kissing what wrong with that what happened to equal rights so its ok for stright people to post what ever they want but if the same sex post anything then heck guess facebook will lose alot of people then cause its useless if you cant be treated as an equal messed up

  6. So its OK for mysoginistic and homophobic bigots to post highly graphic and offensive pornographic images depicting sexual violence - but its not OK to post images showing affection and love. Interesting.

  7. FACEBOOK needs to catch-up with the times and FACEREALITY - LGBT - people exist and have a right to express their feelings toward each other no matter whom it upsets. It is their problem now - not ours......!!!

  13. Theresa-
No, I don't think that's appropriate either!! It's wrong and that crap shouldn't be posted. When you're posting your pictures, keep in mind that CHILDREN are also on facebook!

  14. I have seen a lot worse on facebook. It seems like they are trying to target you. There is a page the God Hates Fags, and other groups. This is nothing. I see male and female doing a lot worse. You need to fight it! Make them expalin to you why it was taken down. Save the e-mails. They should be taking down all the hate sites. We'll have ya back!

  18. This has happened to me too. The problem with FB is anyone can complain about a pic or post and no one at FB physically checks the complaint to see if it is valid or not. This complaint is processed by a computer and is removed. If the person appeals the complaint only then does an actual person looks into the complaint. The thing is it takes a long time for the appeal to be processed and by the time it is the original band has been lifted.

  19. LOL! You know what really pisses me off.... people say that being gay is contagious.. but there have been really hot guys out there that I would have loved to fuck.. and even though i rub up against them, coughed on them, and even told them how wonderful of a blow job i could give.. they never "caught the gayness" damn it!

  23. nail thier balls to the wall and sue them

  24. I am so sorry they did that to your boy friend. It is so crap. Guess as far as facebook is concerned we are 2nd class citizens. Guess they are taking the military's old stand. Don't ask, don't tell.
    Flipping idiots.

  25. Mark, it does suck. I am actually used to it now. I get blocked, stuff deleted, and everything else all the time, but I honestly do push the envelope. As for him.. he doesn't. That is the "dirtiest" he goes is of two people kissing. So for them to do this to him is pathetic.

  26. I think everyone should put that picture as their profile picture. Then what would they do?

    ReplyDelete
  27. I had my profile pulled down all because I had a cartoon picture of a 2 guys in long bathing shorts on the beach, holding ther surfboards on the outside arms, and had ther inner arms around each other...... WTF ! how in the hell was that offensive ! ! !
I am so careful of what I post now because of narrow minded ppl.

  28. Facebook needs to realize that we are in the 21st century now & that Gay people keep the people at face book in their jobs! They need to look at other posts & knock off the crap

  29. You know what I think? So parents would let their children on Facebook huh? Well they shouldn't be on facebook in the first damn place. Even so, it's two men kissing and showing affection. Same with a man and a woman, or two women. I know that a man and a woman is okay but same sex affection is not???? These people are so fucking lame. They need to drop of the face of the earth. Seriously.

  30. Are ya freakin' kidding me?? FB has so many different standards..they can't make up their minds what they want...FB is a police state!

    ReplyDelete
  31. People you need to realize that FB is so huge that computers are responsible for pics being deleted. People make complaints about posts and if they get enough complaints then computers just delete the pic. If you appeal the deletions then an actual person looks at the complaint to see if it is valid or not. This happened to me and FB reviewed my appeal and judge my pic not to be in violation of their policy. They apologize and then reinstated my pic. This process although long does work. It took them over a month to review my appeal.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Bry, if that was the case they would just delete the picture and not block a person.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Ok maybe they should review what the penalty is for getting a pic deleted but as it stands right now you get blocked too. I'm not saying this is my theory about what happens I'm tell you this is what happened to me and they sent me an email explaining the process.

  34. Facebook is homophobic. I hate the damn thing.

    ReplyDelete
  35. One of your Facebook "friends" had to report the image as offensive before Facebook would have taken any action. Facebook doesn't have the manpower to check each image, link and post. Check the integrity of your friends before you place blame on Facebook.

  36. I was banned for two weeks once for posting photos of "nudity" This third offence which triggered the banning (initiated by a hater no doubt) was a posting of a painting of a totally nude male, flaccid penis exposed, reaching out to touch the hand of a person of the same sex. The image can no longer be found among my photos but if you wish to see it Google "The Creation of Adam" or go to the Sistine Chapel in Rome and look up. (Bruce R.)

  37. Seriously I wish people would not be anonymous. If my post comes up as such this is Jim. We really should file complaints on every hate site. This is truly a violation against humanity. The anonymous hater needs to get educated. We are gay and here to stay. We do not adversely affect the children of the world
